S&P Dow Jones to remove Russian and Belarusian bonds from bond indices.

S&P Dow Jones Indices has consulted with market participants on the potential removal of Russian bonds due to recent sanctions and market accessibility limitations. Though not a part of the consultation, the Index Committee also considered the similar constraints that exist for bonds issued by Belarusian issuers due to sanctions and limited market accessibility. S&P DJI has now announced that it will remove all bonds from issuers whose Country of Risk is Russia or Belarus, with the upcoming rebalancing effective after the close of business on Thursday, March 31, 2022. The bonds will continue to be priced in the index as per the evaluated prices from the designated pricing vendor.
