Russia’s Interior Ministry has reported last week that 527,000 people in Russia-controlled Donbas have been granted Russian citizenship over the last two years.

Recently, a Russia parliament member said that number should reach 1 million by December. This would cover about half of the population believed to remain in the Russia-controlled portions of Donetsk and Luhansk.
