The National Bank has prohibited citizens or residents of the Russian Federation from participating in managing insurance, financial, and other non-banking institutions in Ukraine. More specifically, the regulator banned citizens and residents of the Russian Federation as well as Russian companies that own significant shares (from 10%) of such businesses, from participating in the management of insurance, leasing, financial, factoring, and other companies in the non-banking sector. They are also prohibited from directly or indirectly exercising their voting rights as shareholders. Such bans will apply until the abolition or termination of martial law in Ukraine.
