Zarubezhneft’s tender for the sale of six batches of Urals oil was unsuccessful, as none of the buyers responded to the offer. The total volume of oil offered for sale amounted to 600,000 tons to be shipped in the second quarter. Initially, the tenders were to have been held in late February. Later, the company postponed the end of bids till March 9. Earlier, Surgutneftegaz had the same problems selling oil on the spot. The company put up eight batches for sale at Transneft’s Baltic ports at the beginning of March, but no buyers came to the tender, reported Bloomberg.
