​​Russia violates international law by including voters in the Russian elections from occupied Ukrainian territories.

Ukrainian officials have slammed Russia for extending voting to the Russian State Duma on 17-19 September to Crimea, occupied by Moscow in 2014, and areas it has occupied in Ukraine’s Donbas, Euronews reported. Moscow has distributed more than 600,000 passports in those parts of eastern Ukraine under its control, where citizens could vote electronically or in the Russian border region of Rostov. The Ukrainian foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba said Russia was committing a “flagrant violation” of international law. He called on the UN to help “restore the territorial integrity of our state” and told reporters “The Russian occupation will end.
