Russia rocks the Ukrainian energy industry: facilities in five regions were damaged, and the Trypilska TPP in the Kyiv region was destroyed.
A massive Russian missile attack on the night of April 11 damaged Ukrenergo substations and generation facilities in the Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Kharkiv, and Kyiv regions.
The Trypilska TPP was completely destroyed in the attack, and Centrenergo lost 100% of its generation ability. This follows the previous destruction of the Zmiivska TPP in the Kharkiv Region and the Russian occupation of the Vuglehirska TPP in the Donetsk Oblast. The Trypilska power plant was the largest electricity supplier in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, and Zhytomyr regions.
Two DTEK thermal power plants were also attacked, resulting in significant equipment damage.
In addition, the enemy attacked two underground gas storage facilities in the Lviv region.
During the night, the enemy launched 82 aerial assaults into Ukraine, with air defense forces managing to shoot down only 57 targets.
Also, yesterday morning, the Russians once again attacked Kharkiv, targeting at least 10 critical infrastructure facilities and dropping guided bombs on the Sumy TPP plant.
