Russia must be prosecuted for the war crimes in Ukraine, Finland’s prime minister says after visiting Bucha.
Finland’s Prime Minister Sanna Marin came to Kyiv to meet President Zelenskyy, and she also visited the cities of Irpin and Bucha, where Russia has committed war crimes. After hearing testimonies from locals about alleged atrocities committed by Russian soldiers, Marin emphasized that Finland supports Ukraine and the International Criminal Court in bringing the perpetrators to justice. According to a Finnish government statement, there will be “no room for impunity.” During the visit, Marin strongly condemned Russia’s actions in Ukraine, calling them “a blatant violation of the UN Charter and international law,” the statement said. She announced plans for additional support for Ukraine, support for becoming an EU member, and an increase in arms deliveries.
