Russia is getting ready for a new offensive in Ukraine.

The new offensive could last from six to nine months, with the aim of strengthening the Kremlin’s position in ceasefire negotiations. To that end, Putin is prolonging talks on a cessation of hostilities, as he attempts to seize more territory. Consequently, the Kremlin is preparing for a multi-vector offensive along the 1,000-kilometer front line.
“In the north, Russian and North Korean soldiers have nearly deprived Kyiv of an advantage in the negotiations by regaining most of the Kursk region. On the eastern front, fighting has also intensified in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions,” the AP stated.
According to DeepState, in recent days the enemy has carried out over 200 assault attacks per day, marking the highest intensity of the year. The most challenging situation remains in the Pokrovsk direction, where the frequency of enemy attacks is nearing the levels seen in the second half of January. Approximately 600% more territory was lost then compared to the entirety of March in this section of the front.
The ISW indicates that Russian troops are preparing to escalate offensive operations on several sections of the front during the spring and summer of 2025.
