Russia has once again escalated its terroristic actions by launching a record number of airstrikes against Ukraine.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz condemned the largest Russian attack on Ukraine to date on the night of July 9. “Diplomacy has exhausted its means and resources. The criminal regime openly questions the right to exist of an entire country by using military force and seeks to destroy the political order of freedom across the European continent. The federal government, which I lead, will do everything in its power to prevent this from happening,” Merz said.
According to a report by Ukraine’s air defense forces, on July 9 the Russian army launched a record number of 741 attack vehicles on the country. Of these, Ukraine’s military managed to neutralize 718 of them. The enemy attacked Ukraine with 728 Shahed strike UAVs and drone simulators, as well as seven cruise missiles and six air-launched ballistic missiles. The primary target was the Volyn region, particularly the city of Lutsk.
President Zelenskyy called this air attack by Russia “demonstrative” and once again urged Ukraine’s Western partners to impose tougher sanctions against Russian energy resources and their buyers.
