Russia has intensified its nightly assaults on Ukraine, launching over 600 drones and rockets within 48 hours.

Despite ongoing peace negotiations, the Kremlin subjected Ukraine’s capital and other cities to massive attacks. On May 25, the Russian military fired 69 missiles and over 298 drones, striking 22 regions across Ukraine, with downed cruise missiles and UAVs reported in 15 areas. This wave of assaults resulted in 12 fatalities, including three children from the same family, and left more than 60 injured.
The night prior on May 24, the aggressor carried out one of its largest combined airstrikes, injuring 15 residents in the capital. During that night, the enemy deployed 14 ballistic missiles and 250 drones, primarily targeting Kyiv. In response to these assaults, President Zelenskyy has called on Ukraine’s international allies to impose stricter sanctions against Moscow.
Furthermore, on May 23 Russia targeted the port of Odesa with a missile strike, claiming to hit a container ship carrying military cargo, damaging the engine room and administrative buildings while destroying several vehicles and equipment. Three individuals died, and many others sustained injuries. On May 24, Russian forces continued targeting the port infrastructure in the Odesa region.
The aggressor has drastically increased its recent drone production, and it is now capable of launching 1,000 drones against Ukraine each night.
