Russia has attacked Ukrainian ports, a school, and a kindergarten. Ukraine responded with attacks in Crimea and Moscow.

On the morning of August 23, in the city of Romny, Sumy region, a Russian Shahed drone destroyed a school. Four people died in the rubble, and three others were injured. On the same day, Russian aerial forces dropped bombs on kindergartens and residential buildings in Kherson, wounding six civilians.

The occupiers also attacked Odesa at night, damaging production and transshipment complexes and granaries. The Nibulon agricultural holding reported that the company’s Bessarabian branch in Izmail was also attacked. As a result, 13,000 tons of grain destined for Egypt and Romania were destroyed. Port Izmail lost 15% of its export capacity. During the last month of attacks on Ukrainian ports, the Russians have destroyed 270,000 tons of grain.
