Russia demands that NATO revoke its promise of Ukraine’s accession to end the war, while Zelenskyy rejects any ultimatums.

Russia insists that not only Ukraine be denied entry to NATO but also on rescinding the Bucharest Summit decision of 2008 regarding Ukraine’s future membership in the Alliance.
“Otherwise, this problem will continue to poison the atmosphere on the European continent,” stated Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
Furthermore, according to American intelligence, Russian President Vladimir Putin still intends to seize all of Ukraine’s territory, despite ongoing negotiations with US President Donald Trump’s administration to end the war. It is suggested that Putin may use these negotiations as a tactical pause to rebuild his military and strengthen his position. A potential ceasefire or temporary peace agreement might simply be an attempt to buy time for Russian forces to regroup.
Amid the flurry of recent developments, President Zelenskyy has declared that he will not accept Russia’s ultimatums. He also emphasized that no agreements regarding Ukraine’s future should be made without its involvement, and ceasefire negotiations must include security guarantees. Additionally, Ukraine will not concede any territory.
