Rheinmetall has a two-year plan for the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
Rheinmetall emphasizes that it is the only defense contractor capable of supplying the Ukrainian military with many new medium and large-caliber ammunition, including supplies for the Marder infantry fighting vehicle, Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 tanks. Rheinmetall has supplied Ukraine with 40,000 of the 300,000 rounds for the Gepard anti-aircraft tank and is a strategic partner in providing 155 mm artillery ammunition.
Also, in 2024 the company plans to deliver Marder IFVs, 24 Leopard 1A5 tanks, five armored recovery vehicles, and two Leopard 1 tanks for training. Another 14 Leopard 2A4 main battle tanks will be delivered on behalf of the governments of the Netherlands and Denmark.
The continued supply of Skynex air defense systems is also expected. The German concern will also transfer the second rescue station (NATO Role 1 standard) and SurveilSPIRE drone protection systems.
To help Ukraine develop its defense industry, Rheinmetall established a joint venture with Ukraine’s state defense company to repair military equipment and will soon produce Fuchs/Fox armored personnel carriers, Lynx IFVs, and Panther tanks.
