Results of Ramstein: Ukraine’s allies will repair Leopard tanks, invest in the production of drones in Ukraine, and provide more ammunition.

After the meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine on April 26, Denmark announced an increase in support of more than $631.2M in 2024.

In turn, Norway allocated $13.7M on Ukraine’s behalf for maintenance and repairs of Leopard 2 tanks at Polish facilities.

Canada announced an allocation of $2.1M for Ukraine’s drone production. It also added another 100 drones to the package announced in February, and with Latvia, Ukraine plans to increase production within the drone coalition. In addition, Canada has provided another $9.5M to the Czech-led artillery shell initiative, bringing its total contribution to $38.8M.

Slovakia’s citizens, who oppose the government’s decision not to support Ukraine, have collected almost $4.3M to purchase shells.

However, Greece ruled out the possibility of supplying Ukraine with air defense systems, and Spain refused to supply Patriot systems but agreed to transfer missiles for them.

Also, Belgium will provide $213.9M for the German air defense initiative, transfer rockets from its stocks, and plans to quicken the supply of F-16 fighter jets by the end of the year.
