Real estate developers in Ukraine opened sales in almost 500 new residential complexes during the war.

Primary housing market dynamics are currently showing growth after their collapse in the first year of the war when the pace of construction fell by an average of 65%.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, sales have started in 481 residential complexes. Almost a third of the total number was launched in Lviv and the region (138 housing complexes) – this is 100% more than in Kyiv and the region. During the war, sales have been completed for more than 500 projects. Lviv Oblast leads again in this metric but with a smaller margin than in the capital region – 115 against 101. Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa, and Khmelnytskyi Oblasts are also among the leaders.

With regard to finished projects, in the first half of the year 4.5 million square meters were commissioned in Ukraine, 30% more than the previous year and 100% more than in 2022. The indicator for the year’s first half is also 5% lower than in the pre-war year 2021. However, it is worth considering that the share of private house construction has increased compared to last year.
