President Zelenskyy’s office announces that peace negotiations with the US will occur only after a mutually agreed-upon draft of a ceasefire document is prepared.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Brusylo stated: “Such meetings are meaningful only when there are specific developments such that documents that can be discussed substantively and implemented. At present, working contacts with the American side at the level of the head of the Office of the President continue daily”.

Brusylo noted that once a draft that is designed that promotes a complete cessation of hostilities and is acceptable for both sides is prepared for submission to Russia for consideration, face-to-face negotiations will take place immediately. Currently, communication between Kyiv and Washington is ongoing through phone calls and video conferences.

According to White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt, US President Donald Trump likely received President Zelenskyy’s invitation to visit Ukraine, but Trump currently has no such trip planned.

Recently, Zelenskyy, in an interview with CBS, called on Trump to come to Ukraine to witness firsthand the consequences of the Russian invasion.
