who led their respective countries during the 2008 Bucharest NATO summit, to visit the town of Bucha to see where the policy of conceding to Russia has led. Zelenskyy reminded us that today is the fourteenth anniversary of the NATO summit in Bucharest when there was a chance to take Ukraine from the “gray zone” in eastern Europe between NATO and Russia. According to optimistic diplomatic statements, he noted that Ukraine could have become a member of NATO in 2008; however, there was a hidden refusal to accept Ukraine into the alliance. There was apparent fear from some politicians with regard to Russia.
