President Joe Biden has ordered the provision of $400M in military aid to Ukraine under the Foreign Assistance Act.
According to the Pentagon, Ukraine will receive ammunition for Patriot systems, missiles for NASAMS air defense, Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, and equipment for integrating Western launchers, missiles, and radars with Ukrainian systems.
In addition, the US will provide additional HIMARS missile systems and ammunition for them. The package also includes 155 mm and 105 mm artillery shells, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, M113 armored personnel carriers, MRAP vehicles, and transport equipment.
The US also plans to supply Ukraine with anti-tank weapons, including TOW ATGMs, Javelins, and AT-4 systems. The package will also have precision aviation munitions, HARM anti-radar missiles, small arms, and additional ammunition.
In addition, patrol boats, protective equipment, spare parts, and maintenance equipment are allocated for Ukraine’s military.
In turn, the White House noted that part of the weapons provided in previous military support is already on the front lines.
The US Defense Ministry estimated that since the start of the full-scale invasion, Washington has provided Ukraine with over $50.6B in military aid.
