Oschadbank has started lending to farmers for the sowing season.

According to the bank, Ukrainian farmers will receive up to 80% of loans secured by state guarantees and loans at 0% for the period of martial law and during the first month after its termination. The food crisis in the Middle East and North Africa has intensified due to Russian aggression in Ukraine, which led to the ban of the export of grain and other food products since March 9 to prevent an internal humanitarian crisis. At present, world food prices have risen by more than 30% since last year, and the war in Ukraine has further raised prices, which have reached their highest level since 1974, adjusted for inflation.
