Orban presented his “peace plan” for Ukraine to EU leaders while Ukraine prepares its peace plan for the second Peace Summit and insists on Russia’s participation.
Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, after trips to Kyiv, Moscow, Beijing, and Washington, sent his “peace plan” to the leaders of the European Union. According to this plan, the US, Europe, and China will play decisive roles in peacekeeping efforts. Turkey may also be involved in this capacity.
“Donald Trump is committed to peace, so if he wins the presidency, he will achieve peace in a short time. However, Europeans and the current American administration are voting for the continuation of the war,” Orban believes.
According to a recent survey, 44% of Ukrainians believe the time has come to start official peace talks with Russia. However, the overwhelming majority is against agreeing to Putin’s terms. Moreover, 51% of Ukrainians still insist on the liberation of all territories from Russian troops and a return to the borders of 1991.
So far, according to President Zelenskyy, Ukraine is working to develop its peace plan for the second Peace Summit by November and insists Russia take part in the summit.
