Ukraine is cleaning out Russian KGB and FSB elements from its political system.

Ukraine has been struggling with cleaning out Russian KGB and FSB elements from our political system since the Soviet times. According to intelligence sources, almost every third of Ukrainian politicians or government figures were connected with the Russian government during the last decade and had either political or business relationships that operated under Kremlin supervision.
As a result, before the war, Moscow had its well-trusted people in the Security Service of Ukraine, in Parliament, in the top management of the largest state companies, local governments, etc. This is why Putin did not doubt that he would conclude his conquest of Ukraine within a few days or weeks of the invasion. He had already appointed people for the new government, including the new president (former president Yanukovych) and a new prime minister, most likely Medvedchuk or Yuriy Boyko (who were Parliament members before the invasion). These people already had layers of management who were ready to fill new positions in a newly installed Russian government.
Moreover, one of the most important Russian propaganda figures was living, working, and servicing Putin while heading the Orthodox church in Kyiv, Metropolitan Pavlo Lebid. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has investigated an Orthodox church leader at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra monastery, accusing him of “inciting religious hatred” and “justifying and denying Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine”. Moreover, the SBU searched his million-dollar home and found extensive evidence of Lebid working against the interests of Ukraine. An interesting fact is that in his home in Kyiv, the security service found valuables with the Russian coat of arms depicting a two-headed golden eagle.
As you see, Putin’s invasion did not start in 2022 or 2014, it started way earlier. Step by step, he was planting his people into our society. It is sad to realize that our politicians simply watched Ukraine’s poisoning by the Russians for the last two decades, but none of them did anything to stop it.
