Speaking during an interview with the BBC, the Russian Ambassador to Britain, Andrei Kell, said that the Nord Stream 2 project awaits permission from Germany to launch the project. Michael McCall, a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, has reportedly called on President Joe Biden to impose sanctions on Russia’s Nord Stream 2 as a matter of urgency. However, Biden will not impose sanctions on the Russian gas pipeline, and the White House did not consider such options during his presidency.
