One of the largest container companies is considering investment in a Ukrainian seaport.
Danish transport and logistics group A.P. Moeller-Maersk is interested in the concession of the container terminal in the port of Chornomorsk, the Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine reported.
The port operator APM Terminals project manager, Pieter Bas Bredius, and the general director of Maersk Ukraine Ltd., Roman Koloyanov, came to Chornomorsk to discuss the prospects of expanding the company’s activities in the Ukrainian market.
“Representatives of the company A.P. Moller-Maersk have confirmed a significant interest in the concession of the container terminal“, the department emphasized.
Maersk, the largest container company, suspended all activities in Ukrainian ports after the beginning of Russian aggression. Still, in March 2023, the company resumed direct booking of cargo to Ukraine.
