Oil prices accelerated, Brent – $78.75 per barrel.

Oil prices accelerated throughout the day during the new year’s first auction, despite market concerns about falling demand due to the spread of the new strain of COVID-19, “Omicron”. The price of March futures for Brent oil on the London Stock Exchange ICE Futures Monday was $78.75 per barrel, which is $0.97 (1.25%) higher than the previous session’s closing price. The price of WTI oil futures in February at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) is currently $76.05 per barrel, which is $0.84 (1.12%) higher than the level of the previous trading. According to 2021 results, Brent oil rose by 53%, and WTI by 57%.
