Norway is ready to pay Ukrainian refugees €1,500 to return to their homeland.

Citizens of Ukraine with collective protection or a residence permit in Norway can receive assistance for returning home in the amount of NOK 17,500 (€1,500), the Directorate for Foreigners reports.

To receive money to a Norwegian bank account, you must confirm your return home (documents, tickets) and describe the route. If the person decides to return to Norway again, the financial aid will have to be returned in whole or in part. If less than 12 months have passed, NOK 15,000 will have to be returned, and NOK 5,000 if 18-24 months.

The flow of refugees to this Scandinavian country continues to increase. And there was a already a shortage of housing for Ukrainians. Norway is preparing to create 3,000 additional places to provide temporary asylum to new arrivals. It is expected that in 2024 about 35,000 Ukrainian refugees will have to be resettled.
