Night generation covers Ukraine’s need for electricity consumption.
The state Energy company Ukrenergo recorded an increase in consumption due to the gradual cooling of temperatures and intensification of industry and business activity after the holidays. However, for now, the power plants are producing enough electricity during the night to cover the demand. Consumption limits have been established for all regions of Ukraine, which apply from 08:00 to 23:00. Exceeding these limits leads to emergency restrictions. The situation in the power system is somewhat complicated by substantial damage in the distribution networks of the central region due to adverse weather conditions, however, the repairs are ongoing. Moreover, in the areas close to the front lines in the east and south, the situation with electricity supply remains challenging due to significant damage to power grids and continuing active hostilities.
