New rules for food exports have come into effect in Ukraine.
Ukraine is introducing the mandatory registration of food exporting companies to prevent abuses such as tax evasion when exporting key agricultural commodities. According to the government’s resolution, it is planned to conduct an experimental project to check agro-industrial entities.
The project provides for creating a list of enterprises in the agro-industrial complex that are engaged in the export of goods classified under specific codes. This project will be valid from November 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024. The project aims to determine which enterprises in the agro-industrial sector meet specific criteria.
This information can be verified under martial law conditions and creates favorable conditions for the prevention of abuses and violations of legislation while exporting goods. During the experiment, changes will be made to the State Agrarian Register, allowing the registration of entities that pay value-added tax and have a tax debt.
