New American military aid is already in Ukraine, and the White House is preparing a new package.
American military aid allocated through the $60.8B package approved in April by the US Congress is already in Ukraine, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said.
“Some of that technology is already on the battlefield, and some will be on the battlefield this week. What you’re going to see is a constant flow week after week,” Sullivan added.
He also confirmed that the US is working to supply Ukraine with more Patriot air defense systems to protect constantly bombed Ukrainian cities. In addition, Sullivan mentioned a new military aid package for Ukraine, which will be announced in the coming days.
“We’re going to have another PDA as we’re trying to really accelerate the pace of delivery,” said US state department deputy Vedant Patel.
He also said that the US administration, Lloyd Austin and General Charles Brown, maintain close contact with Ukrainian leadership regarding the current situation at the frontlines.
