Netflix will give grants to Ukrainians in the arts.
The Netflix streaming service, together with the Ukrainian Film Academy and House of Europe, are launching two initiatives to support the creative sector. The grant program is intended to help creators in Ukraine and around the world who have suffered or were forced to move because of the war to continue and develop their work. Programs will provide financial support and access to training and networking with experts. According to the program under the leadership of the Ukrainian Film Academy, creative people will have the opportunity to compete for 48 grants for the development of scenarios of $15,000 each for teams of experienced film professionals consisting of two people (screenwriter and producer). Under the program led by House of Europe, participants will seek to receive one of 100 €1,000 scholarships for creators of all levels.
