NATO will review key priorities for its assistance to Ukraine.

Patrick Turner, NATO’s senior representative in Ukraine, said that despite the indefinite postponement of Ramstein meeting, the heads of the Alliance’s defense ministries will meet this week to discuss their support for Ukraine. “Commitments in key priority areas will be reviewed this week at the meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels, which will be attended by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov, within the framework of the Ukraine-NATO Council meeting.” Turner recalled that the allies agreed to discuss and achieve several key priorities for Ukraine at the Washington summit and after. First of all, it is about the Alliance’s collective commitment to provide at least €40B this year in military aid to Ukraine. In addition, the NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) initiative was launched in Wiesbaden to coordinate assistance to Ukraine. The official hopes that the Center will be fully operational within a few months. The Ukraine-NATO Council will meet on October 17 in a working dinner.
