NATO considers Ukraine’s victory in the war against the Russian Federation its main task.

NATO countries will participate in Ukraine’s reconstruction and development of its security and defense infrastructure, but for now, the most urgent task is to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. Without Ukraine’s victory, all efforts to rebuild it as a democratic and sovereign European country will lose their meaning, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stressed.

“We must continue making this support more predictable, meaningful, and decisive. We will probably make such a decision at the NATO summit in July,” Stoltenberg said.

He added that Ukraine’s restoration would be a very expensive process, so it would be cheaper to prevent further destruction. So, the more means the allies provide to Ukraine for defense, the less effort will be required for its post-war recovery.

At the same time, Stoltenberg admitted that the main Russian ally in the war against Ukraine is China, which supplies the aggressor with electronics and technologies to produce missiles, drones, and other weapons.
