Military aid to Ukraine became the leading topic of the Munich Security Conference.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, at the Munich Security Conference, called for speeding up the provision of military aid to Ukraine. “We need speed. Speed of our agreements. Speed of supplies to strengthen our work. There is no alternative to speed. Because speed is now what life depends on,” he emphasized. The President also noted the need to quicken and strengthen sanctions against the Russian Federation. On the sidelines of the conference, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, said that Ukraine will receive Western aircraft, and this work has already begun. He supported the president’s call and emphasized that the number one task for Ukrainian diplomacy in 2023 is the speed and stability of arms supply. Of great importance are the promised weapons from Ukraine’s partners, as well as the involvement of new types of equipment. The minister is convinced that NATO countries will redouble their efforts to ensure the production of weapons and ammunition.
