Lviv urges Tusk to influence the Polish company causing delays in the construction of a waste processing plant.

Lviv deputies appealed to the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, in response to the critical situation with the construction of a waste processing plant in Lviv by Polish company Control Process.

“Despite the fact that the contract is being carried out by a foreign company, the project is being financed by the Lviv community – these are the city’s loan obligations to international partners and grant resources. The company has already received €29M, so it is fundamentally important for the city that all work is done properly and on schedule”, the message states.

However, Control Process, which won the international tender for the plant’s construction in 2021, is not adhering to the terms of the contract and disrupting the construction timeline. Lviv has repeatedly met with the contractor and extended work deadlines but it has not helped the contractor to complete the project. The contract will expire on October 4 2025, and by that date, the contractor is expected to have the facility operational. But it’s clear this will not happen.
