Luxembourg is interested in microfinancing Ukrainian businesses.

During a video meeting the Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyridenko, and her colleague from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Franz Fayo, discussed the restoration of Ukraine, humanitarian demining, investment, and cooperation in the field of digital technologies. The parties also discussed Luxembourg’s opportunities to support Ukrainian businesses, war risk insurance, and those projects that the parties could develop in the form of private or private-public partnerships.

Fayo assured Svyridenko  that Luxembourg is interested in cooperation with Ukraine, especially in the digital technologies, space, and military spheres. Also, Luxembourg companies are ready to take part in the demining of Ukrainian territories.

Fayo promised to discuss the possibility of providing military risk insurance instruments for investments in Ukraine and of attracting several agencies and non-governmental organizations to be actively engaged in the microfinancing of Ukrainian businesses.
