Lithuania is ready to send its troops to Ukraine for training, and Latvia has handed over communication equipment.

According to the Prime Minister of Lithuania, Ingrida Šimonyte, her country is ready to send its troops to Ukraine to conduct exercises, but Kyiv has not sent a request. According to Šimonyte, she has permission from the parliament to send troops to Ukraine for training, which was previously proposed by her government.

She noted that the Russian Federation may regard this as a provocation; however, “if we were only thinking about the Russian Federation’s response, we would not be able to send anything.”

At the same time, within the IT coalition’s framework, Latvia provided Ukraine with communication equipment worth about €100,000, which will provide brigades with tactical communication on the front line. Previously, as part of the IT coalition, Latvia handed over laptops for the modernization of logistics processes and system deployment based on System Analysis Program Development (SAP).
