Latvia will transfer €1M worth of drones, launch joint production of shells and drones, and prepare a security agreement for Ukraine.

Latvia will soon hand over €1M worth of domestically produced drones to Ukraine. As part of the drone coalition, it plans to allocate at least €10M this year.

The Latvian government announced another package of military aid worth €22.2M, which is planned to be delivered in April. This package will include ammunition, explosives, weapons, transport, as well as personal and support equipment. Latvia’s total support to Ukraine provided so far this year will reach €850M, and with the April military support package, total defense support will reach €392M.

Moreover, Latvia will contribute about €10M to the Czech initiative to supply ammunition.

In addition, Ukraine and Latvia agreed to jointly produce shells and drones for the needs of the Ukrainian military.

Also, on April 11, Latvia plans to conclude an agreement with Ukraine on long-term support and security, committing to providing military aid in the amount of 0.25% of its GDP (€112M) this year and over the next two years.
