Last year, the number of bank clients in Ukraine increased by 10%, reaching more than 79 million people.

At the same time, the number of institutions decreased from 71 to 67, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.

The number of accounts opened by clients increased by 12.8% compared to the previous year and amounted to 160.2 million. Also, the number of bank clients who are served remotely has risen significantly in Ukraine. They comprise more than two-thirds of all bank clients: 78% of business entities and 68% of individuals, with 2.4 million and 51.4 million clients, respectively.

Last year, the total number of accounts that banks serviced remotely increased by 18.8% compared to 2021 and 73% compared to 2020.
