Land prices in Ukraine jumped by 21% in a year – Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

During 2024, 106,669 land plots with a total area of ​​320,660 hectares were sold in Ukraine. The average cost of one hectare last year increased to ₴46,678 ($1,163), compared to ₴38,500 ($960) in 2023, said Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitaliy Koval.

He specified that the largest areas of agricultural land in 2024 were sold in the following regions: Poltava with 45,622 hectares, Odesa with 33,024 hectares, and Dnipropetrovsk with 30,623 hectares. The smallest areas were sold in Volyn (818 hectares), Rivne (909 hectares) and Ivano-Frankivsk (1,094 hectares) regions. The highest average price was recorded in Ivano-Frankivsk (₴89,744 per hectare), and the lowest in Zaporizhia (₴33,981).

The minister noted that after lifting the moratorium on the alienation of agricultural land, only 3.4% of such plots out of 17.5 million hectares were sold. In total, legal entities bought 25,157 plots (78,307 hectares) at an average price of ₴62,656 ($1,561) per hectare. Individuals bought 81,512 plots (242,353 hectares) at an average price of ₴41,510 ($1,034) per hectare.
