Kyiv is among TOP-3 cities with the largest traffic jams in the world.

In 2021, Kyiv moved to third place from seventh among 400 cities in the world in the intensity of traffic jams, reported analytical company TomTom. On average, Kyiv residents travel 56% longer than they would on empty roads. A year earlier, this figure was 51%. With such a busy road, a 30-minute trip takes 17 minutes longer. The average travel time in the capital increased by 3 minutes a day in 2021 compared to the year before. The only cities with a higher level of traffic jams on the roads than Kyiv are Istanbul and Moscow.
