Kyiv calls the latest Ramstein a productive meeting; Ukrainian air defense will receive a boost.


Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that during the most recent Ramstein meeting, the allies confirmed continued military assistance to Ukraine and new powerful weapons packages for the Ukrainian military.
Norway will spend another NKR 1.2B ($107M) to purchase American air defense systems for Ukraine. Last year, Norway allocated more than NKR 6B to Kyiv for air defense. Norway also joined the drone coalition, contributing NKR 700M to a multinational initiative to purchase UAVs for Ukraine.
The Netherlands announced the provision of 25 YPR armored tracked vehicles to Ukraine to be used to evacuate wounded soldiers. The Netherlands, in cooperation with partners, recently provided promised T-72 tanks and a new batch of F-16 fighters.
As well, Germany is preparing to transfer approximately 100 guided missiles for the IRIS-T air defense system to Ukraine.
Also, the Latvian Ministry of Defense announced the transfer of 42 armored personnel carriers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
