Kharkiv is looking for investment to create an industrial and scientific park.
According to the mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, the first such location will be near the subway and the Barabashova market. He added that although the market was damaged by shelling, it will be restored and modernized so people can keep their jobs.
“This project will require investment, but we are already moving in this direction. I call this and other projects the reboot of the city,” he emphasized. The land for this project has already been allocated, and the city is considering several more locations for industrial parks.
According to the mayor, the objects that have been destroyed in Kharkiv are valued at $9.5B. Neither a single city nor the entire state can cover such costs.
“This can only be done with the help of international partners, institutions, and private investors. And the city authorities must create transparent conditions and guarantees for the protection of investments,” said the mayor of Kharkiv.
