Iron and steel production in Ukraine increased by 3.6%.

In 2021, compared to 2020, the production of cast iron in Ukraine has increased by 3.6%. Hence making steel to be increased by 3.6%, and rolled metal by 3.5%. According to the final data of Ukrmetalurgprom, in 2021, Ukraine produced 21.17 million tons of cast iron (that is, 3.6% more than in 2020); 21.37 million tons of steel (that is 3.6% more); and 19.08 million tons of rolled metal (3.5% more). In 2021, there were no iron ore imports. Exports of iron ore within that period amounted to 44.42 M tons (that is 4.0% less than in 2020). Moreover, according to the latest data, the world’s Iron ore prices have risen to a maximum since October of 2021 and amounted to $126 per ton.
