In Western Ukraine, construction has intensified and the prices for newly constructed flats has increased.


Over the three years of the full-scale Russian invasion, prices in the primary housing market in Ivano-Frankivsk have increased the most, by 63%. During this time, the cost of a square meter in the city rose from $520 to $850, according to market experts.
For comparison, in Kyiv a square meter has increased in price by 3% during the war, rising from $1,250 to $1,290. The top five cities where housing in new buildings has become more expensive also include Rivne (+43%), Uzhhorod (+42%), Chernihiv (+36%), and Lviv (+35%).
Frankivsk is also among the top three regions with the most active construction, following Lviv and Kyiv; over the past three years, construction of 66 new residential complexes has commenced in the city.
Over the past year, prices for new apartments have risen the most in Odesa, by 16%, followed by Rivne (+12%) and Cherkasy (+10%).
