Ukraine insists on the creation of a separate account in the EU, into which Russia will pay in order to rebuild the Ukrainian economy, stated Lana Zerkal, a member of the Ukrainian delegation participating in the hearings of the International Court of Justice in The Hague. “We are engaged in creating a precedent in payments and in accumulating the money Russia receives for gas and oil. So, Russia would not receive this money, but instead, it would go to Ukraine to restore the Ukrainian economy and pay for all reparations and damages. We want the Russian Federation to be punished and to be paid in full for all the crimes it commits in Ukraine,” she said for TSN.
