In June, for the first time, grocery prices in Ukraine remain almost unchanged.

Last month, prices rose by 0.1%, the lowest level since the beginning of the year, noted the Institute of Agrarian Economics. In the first three months growth was fixed at 1.4-2.3%, April – 0.3%, and May – 0.9%.
The slowdown in the growth rate of consumer prices for food products occurred mainly due to the fall in prices for eggs (-4.1%), sunflower oil (-2.4%), fruit (-2.2%), bread and bread products (- 0 .6%), milk and cheeses (-0.5%) and butter (-0.1%).
However, prices for meat and meat products continued to rise (by 1.9% compared to May), joined by vegetables (1%), and fish products (0.3%). The decrease in sugar prices also stopped (-0.4% in May).
However, the electricity and fuel price increase that became effective July 1 will probably lead to a new spike in consumer prices, primarily for industrial processing and livestock products.
