In January, Ukrainian seaport cargo turnover increased by 49%.

In January 2022, 14.96 million tons of cargo were handled by port operators in all Ukrainian seaports, which is 49% (4.9 million tons) higher than in January of last year. In January 2022, port operators in seaports transshipped: 11.4 million tons of export cargo (+46% compared to the same period in 2021), imported 2.67 million tons (+70.7%), transit 689.22 thousand tons (+11.9%), and cabotage cargo – 192.95 thousand tons (3.4 times more than in the same period in 2021). In January, the largest share was the processing of grain cargo and ore – 6 million tons (2 times more than in 2021) and 3.06 million tons (+7%), respectively.
