In half a year, German exports to Ukraine grew by more than 30%.

German exports to Ukraine increased by 30.2% and reached €4.6B in the first half of the year. In contrast, Ukrainian exports to Germany decreased by 4.5%, totaling €1.52B. According to experts, several German companies are demonstrating that investment is possible even during wartime. Investment guarantees from the federal government are essential to support these efforts. For three years, the Eastern Committee of the German Economy has been providing centralized support through the Service Desk Ukraine mechanism and regularly offers up-to-date information to companies interested in Ukraine’s reconstruction. In December 2025, the eighth German-Ukrainian Business Forum will take place in Berlin.

Regarding Germany’s trade with Russia, bilateral trade dropped nearly 13% in the first half of 2025. Germany’s imports from Russia totaled only €667M, down 37%, while exports reached €3.5B, down 6%.
