In February, land market deals in Ukraine grew by 50%.
At the end of winter, the land market reached its highest level since the beginning of the full-scale war, increasing the number of properties sold by 50% compared to January. Legal entities also intensified their participation in the market, their share increased from 10.3% in January to 15.8% in February.
9,600 land purchase and sale agreements with a total volume of 22,000 hectares were concluded in February, which is 50% more than in January. The land market leaders since the beginning of the year have been the Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kirovohrad regions.
Since the opening of the market for legal entities, 266 companies have exercised the right to purchase land, of which 223 companies purchased at least one plot in February. Activity by legal entities is increasing. Companies purchased 507 plots in January with a total area of 1,500 hectares, then in February legal entities purchased 1,200 plots with an area of 3,500 hectares.
At the same time, market prices are stable – the weighted average price per hectare in February is ₴41,600 (₴41,700 in January).
