In 2025, Ukraine’s international partners will allocate €1.3B to be invested in the Ukrainian defense industry according to the Danish model.

Ukraine will receive €1.3B in 2025 under the Danish model to finance its weapons production. As a result of negotiations, Ukraine will receive the first tranche of €428M from Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Norway, and Iceland. These funds will soon be used to produce Ukrainian artillery, strike drones, missiles, and anti-tank weapons. Part of the allocated funds will be drawn from the proceeds generated by frozen Russian assets.

It has been reported that new strategic decisions are currently being prepared regarding investments by Ukrainian companies in the countries of the Ramstein coalition and the deployment of production by European defense companies in Ukraine.

Additionally, the Lithuanian government has eased the requirements for public procurement in the defense and security sector to simplify the relevant procedures for local manufacturers. The purchase of drones, anti-drone equipment, optical equipment, and laser target designators will supply the Lithuanian and Ukrainian militaries with military equipment produced in Lithuania.
