Imports of sparkling wines to Ukraine increased by 44%.

In 2021, imports of sparkling wines to Ukraine in monetary terms amounted to $54.7 M, which is 44% more than the same period last year and 2.6 times more than 5 years ago, reported the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business (UCAB). One of the reasons for this trend is the 39% decrease in Ukrainian wine production over the last 5 years, about 2% in 2021 alone. Today, the leading suppliers of sparkling wines to Ukraine are Italy (54% of imports in monetary terms), France (18%), Spain (10%), Germany (5%), and Georgia (4%).
